Odds by venue

Consensus blends each venue’s last price, weighted by how much has traded there. Best Yes price is the cheapest ask across venues, and the payout is what a winning $100 stake returns before fees. Open a row for each venue’s contract name, bid and ask, and how closely their rules match.

Prices come from our regular polls of each venue, the oldest 1 min ago. Ages are as of when this page was built.

About this market

Live prediction market odds for "Marathon Fusion's high-rate gold alchemy confirmed by...?". June 30 leads at 45.5%. Next is December 31 at 18%. $7K has traded across 2 outcomes on Polymarket. The market is expected to resolve by Jan 1, 2027.

On October 21, 2026, Marathon Fusion announced that it had "demonstrated high-rate alchemy," turning mercury into stable gold using fusion neutrons and "beating CERN's record by a factor of 10." (see: https://x.com/MarathonFusion/status/2113001073019662481) This market will resolve to "Yes" if high-rate alchemy is confirmed through at least one of the qualifying confirmation methods listed below by 11:59 PM ET on the specified date. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". "High-rate alchemy" refers to the experimental production of stable gold-197 from mercury using neutrons generated by deuterium-tritium fusion reactions (including deuterium-tritium neutron generators) at an average rate of more than 800,000 gold-197 atoms per second. For reference, CERN's ALICE collaboration reported a maximum rate of approximately 89,000 gold nuclei per second in May 2025. The production rate will be calculated as the total number of gold-197 atoms produced by the irradiation, including gold-197 resulting from the decay of mercury-197 created during the irradiation, divided by the total duration of the neutron irradiation. Confirmations that only establish that some gold was produced from mercury, that establish a lower production rate, that rely on neutrons not generated by deuterium-tritium fusion reactions, or that are based on simulations or modeling without an experimental demonstration will not qualify. The qualifying confirmation methods are: (i) Peer-reviewed publication: experimental results demonstrating high-rate alchemy, whether by Marathon Fusion or by other researchers, are published in a reputable peer-reviewed scientific journal. Preprints and other publications that have not completed peer review will not qualify. (ii) Independent verification: a credible scientific institution unaffiliated with Marathon Fusion (e.g., a national laboratory, university research group, or accredited analytical laboratory) publicly confirms, based on its own measurements of material irradiated in Marathon Fusion's experiment or its direct observation of that experiment, that high-rate alchemy was achieved. The confirmation must be published by the verifying institution itself; confirmations relayed only by Marathon Fusion will not qualify. (iii) Independent replication: researchers unaffiliated with Marathon Fusion or the authors of the paper titled "Scalable Chrysopoeia via (n, 2n) Reactions Driven by Deuterium-Tritium Fusion Neutrons" (https://arxiv.org/abs/2507.13461) experimentally demonstrate high-rate alchemy, and the results are made public. Confirmations published or made public after the specified date will not be considered, even if the underlying experiment took place before it. Marathon Fusion's employees, investors, and funders, including ARPA-E, Breakthrough Energy, the 1517 Fund, and Strong Atomics, are considered affiliated with Marathon Fusion. Statements, social media posts, or press releases by Marathon Fusion or its affiliates, and media reports that only relay such claims, will not alone qualify. The resolution source for this market will be a consensus of credible sources and relevant scientific experts verifying the legitimacy of the qualifying confirmation.

Questions

What does the consensus price mean?

It is the price of a Yes contract that pays $1 if the outcome happens. A 14¢ price means traders put the chance near 14%. Where two venues list the same outcome, we blend their last prices, weighting the venue with more trading volume more heavily (neither counts for less than a quarter). When only one outcome can win, each venue’s prices add up to a little over 100% (its margin); the fair chance removes that margin so the outcomes add up to exactly 100%.

How is the payout worked out?

A Yes contract pays $1 if it wins, so at the best ask a $100 stake buys 100 ÷ ask contracts. At 18¢ that is about 555 contracts, paying $556 (5.56x) if Yes happens. Venue fees and price slippage on larger orders are not included.

Why do the venues show different prices?

Each venue has its own traders, fees and order book. Contracts can also settle on slightly different terms, which is why each row lists how closely the rules match.

Is a price gap an arbitrage?

Only when you can buy Yes on one venue below what someone pays for Yes on the other, after fees, and both contracts settle the same way. We show the executable bid and ask so you can check.

How fresh are these prices?

Venue prices refresh every few minutes, and the order book and live quotes stream continuously. Each venue’s card shows when we last observed it.
